Ever purchase a photo and think to yourself, how can I make this work for my Pinterest graphic? Well, today I’m going to show you how to create a Pinterest graphic with styled stock and Photoshop. You can use virtually any image in our styled library shop to create stand out Pinterest images that get more blog traffic to you!
How to Create a Pinterest Graphic with Styled Stock
Often times, when you purchase a styled stock image, you love it, but can’t figure out how to make it work for your graphics. This is one way to make an image work by giving you more white space (or blank space) on your graphic so you can easily insert your blog title text.
In this tutorial, I’m using Adobe Photoshop CC and highly recommend Photoshop over any other graphic program. Many of the free programs out there will not allow you to manipulate the image to the size and fill the background like I’m going to show you.
What to Look for Regarding Your Pinterest Graphic
- Make sure ou choose a photo that isn’t too busy. You want your text to stand out on top of it.
- Your image should relate to your blog post topic.
- And, can you manipulate the photo? Does the company you purchased from allow you to do this? We do!
The Image We Chose
For this tutorial, I’m using an image from our styled stock library from the Gold & White collection that you can purchase in the shop or get in our membership. There is already plenty of white space in this image, but I want to shrink it down a bit so my text can be bigger. Also, I want to place the image subject down further on my graphic.
